A Chinese Wedding Dinner (2) 婚礼晚宴 ...

The Chinese wedding dinner in the 21st century
is a happy and jovial occasion
 ...
very much due to the advent to KARAOKE
and the Western Influences
... sad or is it, but TRUE ...
...
as for the entire duration of
a typical Chinese wedding
for 3-4 hours,
the guest happily go on stage
to sing their favorite songs
...

Well, why not, as long as their voices don't destroy your appetite.

In the East Countries Karaoke is very spread but I didn't know that it was practiced during the weddings. In Italy there are some musicians that play and the guests dance.
Have a nice afternoon.

I believe that typical country ways or habits have been lost and have been changed to western same ways.

What interesting traditions. Few people here would be confident enough to sing in public like this. It must create a fun atmosphere.

What fun! I love the third photo with the cake in focus, that's a beautiful shot for a wedding album. The guests look like they enjoyed themselves immensely, that's the way weddings should be in my opinion.

Maybe it is a Western influence, but I personally can't stand karaoke!
