Excellent photo of the high rise living cubicles, we have that same issue here on the Gulf Coast...the developers were buying up every square inch of land to put up high rise condominiums that only the wealthy would be able to afford...the real estate market dried up and the high rises either were never built or stopped construction mid way through!

This is the same in every major city in the world. If you want to live in the city centre in luxury, you have to pay a lot. Only a few people can afford this, you are not alone.

Unless a bg part of it remains hidden from the picture, those flats don't look so large. Maybe normal people have a chance to acess it? Anyway, I know how it feels to look at this.
