No Camera 不允许拍照 ...

Security guards were standing behind me
when I took this shot
...
Neither do I feel foolish nor brave
I think you are right, it is just silly
...
I think there is a new rule here
as the guards were not protesting
to those who were clicking away
with their point and shoot
but
warning those with the DSLR
...

Tokyo Street ...

Sometimes it is irresistible not to shoot.

Take care, my friend. But I agree that when something is forbidden, it really calls us. The dark side always attracts us, even more to the camera addicted ones.
Greetings from Asturias, Spain.

So does that make you brave or foolish?

Not allowed to bring camera or not allowed to shoot photo?

Obviously they didn't hassle you! I haven't run into a sign like this yet...perhaps a jewelry store would have this or a hospital? Where were you!

Arnaud said...

They probably still wonder how to react with the one shotting this sign.

Brave shot. What was behind this sign? a shopping mall?

Brave nor foolish, so why taking the picture? It's funny to see anyway.
Best regards, Marion

I don't really like place where I can not take pictures. Certainly not when it is paid with the tax money of the community. You pay for it but can not take a picture of it. I become a bit upset.

Greetings,
Filip

There is a saying: the rules are made to be broken. You have to be careful. :)

Perfect example of the photography you can get away with via the compact cameras versus the large attention getters. Wonderful post Wong!

entire image (except for the sign) has a unique color palette, like a watercolor.

You're allowed to make a shot from this sign but not from the other things behind of them! :-)

Muy buena toma. Las normas están para saltárselas.

Felices fiestas, si las celebras

A few days I was told the same, while walking at a street with banks. Strange though, makes one wonder about public space.
Please have a good new week ahead.

(And yes, I took the shot anyway ;)
