Fear 恐惧 ...

I remember the first day of my swimming class,
the instructor said that the last day of the class
will be everyone jumping off the 10 foot diving board
...
For the entire semester, while learning the backstroke,
freestyle, and the breaststroke, I never stop fearing
about that final day's task
...
Thinking back, I realized that there is
no more fear when one deliberately jumps
...
That, I apply to almost everything
I do at work or with a camera

Beautiful statues.

Interesting what you said about the jump to swim. The fear of the first step that is required to everything you do in life. Living is pure chutzpah.

The children statues look so frightened, it makes me feel for them in a sad way. Fear can preoccupy what can otherwise be a good time if we allow it to eat at us, it's good though that you learned at a young age... I'm still learning this! ;-)

oh how moving a sculpture ! three schools tried to teach me how to swim, without success though, being the only student of the classes. learned it finally on my own, in the sea during holidays. please have a good wednesday ahead.

A good philosophy you have and a great set of photos to go with it.
