~Take Nothing but Photographs, Leave Nothing but Footprints~
Great captures of daily life. Things are so different all over the world.
In a globalized world there are many tourists and expatriates, who work or study in other countries. My master's research theme is expatriation.
Both of these are great. They should all be treated equally.
Nice photos, I always feel kind of embarrassed when I get preferential treatment over a local.
Do Malaysian wear such clothes or leave so much naked skin ? I look at local people when I travel the world and try not to behave in a shocking way for the local culture. I remind keeping trousers in mexico for that reason, although the weather was damn hot. However, in Japan, China and Korea (I didn't tarvel to any other country in Asia) I didn't notice this kind of thing you mention. I would even say that chinese turists (sometimes) get a better treatment than western ones.
Funny! In Hawaii, white touristsfeel that it is the Japanese, and Chinese visitors who aretreated better!Very important sharing we do on our blogs, friend-Aloha from HonoluluComfort Spiral ><}}(°> ><}}(°>
thought-provoking commentary..your street photography is always interesting!
En españa a estoas personas le dicen guiris, es un nombre de cachondeo....saludos. In Spain, this persons have a name: "Guiris", and this name it´s a joke...
I wonder why that would be. But it is good that you have traveled to so many places Wong. I love seeing new places!
Beautiful street shots, I agree with you... but I agree with Cloudia too.I was often in Hawaii and I was in Hong Kong last month... I'll realized both the situations.ciaoStefano
That I don't know!!Great street capture, dear Wong...
I love your capture
It is interesting traveling and seeing how local people treat different nationalities. Where I just came from I was the outsider, that was sure a humbling experience for me, but an amazing life lesson. I like your choice of photos which enhance your sentiments. Enjoy!
What an interesting comment you make. Worth pondering...
