Cultural Identity 文化認同 ...

Growing up as a Chinese immigrant
in a predominantly Muslim Country,
we are now perhaps the 3rd or 4th generation of our forefathers
It is sometimes tough to be reminded
that we are not a truly "Cultured Chinese person";
But on the other hand, Malaysia is a Plural Society and
we grow up experiencing the varied Cultures of the different People,
and I honestly think that has been all good

Our story is similar.
The US is a land of immigrants,
and when we meet people
of our ethnicity and culture
from the 'homeland'
they do not consider us
"True" either!

Together, along with my bi-cultural President Obama, we are the people
of a better, richer future of
many flowering choices in freedom.

I am glad that we have met and share and are friends-

My ancestors came to this country many generations ago from a variety of countries. I like to think the blend of cultures has made me a richer person.

Impacta esta máscara. Ciertamente es bueno culturizarse cuando uno está fuera de lugar...Saludos y buen fin de semana.

Adapting to where you live, always costs us. But it is much better!
