Tale of the Peacock 孔雀的故事 ...

Why does the Peacock has such a beautiful tail ?
According to the theory of sexual selection,
the peacock tail has gradually evolved
because the peahen selects beautiful males for mating

...
So, in a cocktail party, I think
the choices for a female selecting a male
are quite predictable

Gros bisous

I am surprised how fast the Peacock can shake his tail. It is like a fast trilling sound.

I agree with Sean. It looks more like a painting but nevertheless, it's really, really beautiful. I like the amazing shot.

WOW! Wong this is a stunning shot, the clarity, color and close are outstanding.

I tend to steer clear of cocktail parties, maybe I'll have to check one out to see what goes on at these functions these days. ;-)

Have a wonderful week Wong!

Wonderful! Not a surprise that the peacock is considered royal bird in some countries (including Rajahstan in India:))
